I am so loving this color combo!  These pants have been a bit of a challenge for me to find the right colors to go with them, but I think I found their match .... meet peachy (maybe more salmon but so hard to tell on the internet anyway)  minty!  Throw in a little tan and brown and you have a winner in my books!

Magical Scarf

There is really nothing better than the magic of a scarf.  Take this outfit for example, it is just a t-shirt and shorts .... but add a bright and fun scarf and some great shoes and away you go!  I can't even tell you how many scarfs I have in my closet and I don't see any stopping in adding more anytime soon!!

Inspiration comes in all sorts of shapes and forms ... mine mainly comes from the internet and everyday people.  One of my favorite blogs out there is Kendi Everyday ( I am sure it is for many of you!) and the other day she had a somewhat similar outfit.  So you got it, I got right on it trying to recreate it my way.  So thank you Kendi for the awesome inspiration.  If you haven't ever been to Kendi's blog ( I am not sure if there is actually anyone out there who hasn't) then you should head right on over there .... this girl is very inspirational!!

Weekend Sales

Oh how I love long weekend sales.  I stumbled my way into The Gap over the weekend and of course I left with a bag full .... why not right?!?!  I scored a bunch of great t-shirts and some tank tops and a cardi ... everything was 40% off .... I'll take it!  How was your long weekend???  Did you head up and long weekend sales???

So if you got to check out yesterdays post then you know I went ahead and chalk colored my hair.  I liked it a lot and this is the aftermath .... after washing it (and I mean really scrubby it) the ends are a still a bit pink.  I kinda actually like the aftereffect to be honest ... it is a little lighter then the first day ... almost a peach color.  So if you plan on doing this with your hair I would say make sure you don't mind wearing it for a few days cause the color seems to linger.  Other then that ... just a bit of shopping for our up coming trip to Cabo and of course I walked away with some things I didn't really need but just couldn't pass up ... like this grey and neon yellow stripped shirt and these super cute sandels!!

Fakin' It

What do you think of the pink tips in the hair???  I think I am loving it .... and the best part is that it is not permanent!!  I have been thinking of actually going to see my hair stylist to do this but figured, hey want not fake it first!!  So over to YouTube to see if I could find a good tutorial and I sure did!  I used this one here and found it super easy ... I can't wait to try out the other colors ( I used the more expensive pastel colors from Michaels and they worked great, these are the ones I used!) !!  Oh, and this is not a vest .... it is a scarf.  While shopping at my most favorite local boutique one of the amazing girls there showed me how to turn a scarf into a vest ... AMAZING right?!?!  I have been trying it out with all of my scarfs and can't wait to pull together more outfits with them!!

Little Birdie

Here is a little bit of truth for you all .... I have no makeup on here.  None .... hence the sunnies!  I had the day off and getting all dolled up and putting makeup on just didn't sound like a whole lot of fun so this is how it went.  Thank you to who ever invented big sunglasses, they save me all the time!!

This Sunday we went to Balboa Park here in San Diego.  I really forget how beautiful this place is ... the weather was perfect and we even fit in a little IMAX show.  This new little dress was picked up while shopping with my sister in law last week at my favorite little local boutique (Ragz Dressware), and it was the perfect thing to wear on this bright sunny day!

The Oceanside Pier ... that is where these photos were taken.  Such a great spot, unfortunately this was one of those "May Grey" kinda days but I just made sure to wear some super bright pants to fight off the gloom!  Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  We are going through a bit of withdrawal here at our place since the Hubbies family left to go back to Minneapolis on Saturday.  We had such a great time ... now to try and find a way to convince them all to move to San Diego!!

Hammer Time

O.K. so apparently this week has been all about comfort.  I mean, it does make sense since all we have been doing is eating and drinking and laughing with family all week.  Now let me tell you a little secret ... I never in a million years thought that these pants would make it onto the blog!!!  I am pretty sure that when I tried them on and asked one of my besties what she thought of them I was told to " take those Hammer Pants off" ( right Megs????)!!  I laughed my butt off but bought them anyway .... simply because they are ultimate comfort!!  Now what about these fantastic sunnies?!?!?  Now you all know how much I love my Crush sunglasses ( a little something special coming up in the near future about that) but my beautiful and amazing sister in-law let me borrow her wonderful Dita sunnies and wow!!! You can check out a little bit more about them in this post and about the amazing lifetime warranty they have!  These Dita's are amazing, it is wasn't for the sticker price I would be sporting these all the time .... but thank you Nicole for lending them to me all in the name of blogging!!! 

Tails

Yes, it is official ... I am in love with dresses that have a tail ... or a mullet, or whatever you want to call it.  This dress is a new addition to my wardrobe and I can't tell you how amazingly comfortable it is.  I love the color and I just find it so easy to wear, and best of all .... its price tag was really nice too!  One thing I will give F21 .... the price is almost always right ... it may not last forever but at 21 dollars I have no problem going for it!  

As Simple As It Gets

This is it ... it really doesn't get any more simple then this and I love it.  The Hubbies family is all in town and it has been days full of laughter and fun and simple clothing.  Nothing like some cut off jeans and a fun colored tank on a beautiful sunny day!

I have been waiting for the day .... the day to finally buy this watch which is the new love of my life!!  I managed to not lose all of my money in Vegas so I thought .... hey, this is your time!!  I got my butt right on over to the surf shop near us and proudly bought my new baby!!!  The only thing it is rose gold ( which I love), so you know that now I am on the hunt for a awesome gold watch .... ahhh, always on the quest for something new.
