As of next month ... which is tomorrow (wow!!) .... things are going to become a little crazy in my world.  So first off, one of my best friends is coming to visit, then her and I are off to Vegas for one of our friends weddings and then I go straight from Vegas to Peru!!!!  I am one lucky lady but it leaves me wondering how the heck I am going to keep up with outfit posts around here.  So I was wondering if any of you lovely ladies would like to guest blog for me while I am gone????  I am going to try to get a few in myself but it would be great to have some of you on here.  I was lucky enough to get to guest blog for a fellow blogger once and I really liked it and though why not give it a try.  So, if you have any interest in this either leave me a comment here or shoot me a email and we will work something out!!

Oh wow, didn't really realize that everything I am wearing is from Target till I actually started to name where they were from for this post.  I guess you can say I like me some Target!  Anyways, I am just in love with this new shirt I picked up at Target the other day.  I mean, it has hearts ... it ties at the neckline and it is super light ... definitely my new favorite!!

Boost

Sometimes you just need a little boost .... and so do your pictures!  I have to say that I am pretty darn grateful lately for photoshop actions .... I just ran a little boost action and voila ... these photo look just a bit better for me.  Do you guys have any fun can't live without photoshop actions???  I would love to know about them if you do!!

Noticeable

This shirt is very noticeable ... I am pretty sure you can see me from a mile away!!  It is one of my favorite shirts though!  It is almost like a dress ... not in the way it fits but in the way that when I wear it it is kinda hard to remix.  The last time I wore it I wore white jeans ... I liked it more than this outfit but I just seem to be having a hard time with this one .... it is my mission to figure out more ways to remix it!!  What would you pair it with ... how would you remix this lovely standout shirt?

A Must Have

There are many things that I think are staples in a girls wardrobe ... having many blazers is one of them in my opinion .... but having this striped blazer is probably the most important!  I have been holding out ... I really wanted to find the perfect one and believe it or not but I think I found it .... and not only that but I did find it at F21 and it was a steal!!!  I have been seeing a ton of them all over the internet but was unsure cause I really wanted to be able to try it on .... this one won my heart in an instant .... the shoulders really sold me ... the have great structure and the material is pretty darn perfect too .... thank you F21!!

Baby got Back

Here is the truth .... this "baby" doesn't have any "back"!  Though that is one of my favorite songs ... not gonna lie, especially if it is karaoke night!!  Anyway, do you ever try on a skirt in the store and it seems to fit perfectly but you never really think to walk around in it .... well, that is the case for me most of the time and in this case with this skirt!  It is not really a problem of having "back" but more like having hips and thighs and everything in between!  Lesson learned ... take that skirt out into the store for a test drive ... if it rides up ... well, it is out!

Different in the Mirror

I am sure you can all agree with me when it comes to talking about how an outfit can look different from your mirror to your camera.  I know I have been there a lot, I mean ... I take photos everyday so this is bound to happen, right?!?!  Well, his is one of those outfit, though really comfy ... very different than how it looked in the mirror ... yet still I blog it because I wore it ... good outfit or not!

Now here are the questions to the rest of yesterdays post that are part of the Liebster Award that Emily gave to me.  Here are her questions for me.

1. What made you start blogging?

 I found myself totally absorbed with looking at other fashion blogs and realized that I was  not being nearly as creative with my closet as I could be.  Instead of working with what I had I was always trying to run out and buy something new ... I felt I needed a challenge and my blog did that for me ... though I still shop I am for sure better at putting things together that I already own!

 

2. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Right now it is France ... we are going to be going there next year!!

 

3. If you had to eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

This is really really hard to answer cause I am such a foodie .... but if I had to choose I think it would be pizza or pasta 

 

4. Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings? I know, it's mean to make you choose.

Colored denim for sure!

 

6. What's the best concert or show you've ever seen live?

Adele ... I have seen a ton and nothing compares to her show ... nothing!!

8. Cake or pie?

Pie ... with ice cream of course

 

9. What's your favorite season and why?

I love fall, though living in San Diego we really don't get seasons ... that is what I miss the most about not living in Canada anymore ... oh, and my family too of course!

 

10. What blogger(s) inspires you the most?

Cara from Fashion Love Affair ... she was my number one inspiration to start blogging ... I also really like Alicia from Aliciafashionista ... and Melissa ... from Miss Melissa ... she has a great sense of humor!!  There are really just way to many that I love to mention ... but I love the blogging community!!

 

11. What's at the top of your bucket list? 

Hahah, as of last night ... wedding crash a awesome wedding at least once .... Zack and I and some of our friends think it would be a blast!!

So I woke this morning to find that a lovely blogger friend had awarded me with the Liebster Award.  I think I have some luck in my life cause this is the second time I have been awarded this award.  I figured since it has been some time since the last one I would give it a go again.   The only thing is it is kinda a process to do it and I am on my way out the door so I will do the first part today and get to the other tomorrow, how bout that.

1.  I am a Canadian Citizen, it will be 4 years in September that I have been living in the States

2. I met my amazing husband while on Vacation and 9 months later we got married!!

3. I was born on my Dad's birthday ... pretty cool right?!?!

4. I am a cat lover, crazy cat lady ... not yet ... but you never know

5. I am a candy addict ... love gummie candy and anything chocolate! 

6. I have been to Italy, Thailand, Costa Rica in the last 3 years and off to Peru next month

7. If I could travel the world for a job I would in a heartbeat!!

8. I can speak French fluently and can't wait for our trip to France next year!

9. I always wanted to be a teacher while growing up but instead I work at a restaurant and I am a photographer (love what I do)

10. I think you could call me a cosmetics junkie ... I can never have enough!!

11. I get take my Husband home to Canada for Christmas this year, it has been over 8 years since I have been home for a Christmas and I can not tell you how overly excited I am!!

Being back I wanted to hook everyone up with a good one.  Listening to Pandora one day I heard a song with a raspy cool voiced girl and than B.O.B came on for a verse and I was hooked.  Finding out that the song was done by non other than American Idol contestant Haley Reinhart.  I don't watch much American Idol but Jess and I definitely remember this contestant because we are huge fans of those unique raspy voices and she also had a vintage 50 style going on.  After listening to her debut album "Listen Up", I was pretty amazed!

I remember when I first met Zack and I was still living in Canada, and had not visit San Diego yet and all he could talk about was the palm tree lined streets.  I couldn't wrap my head around it ... there are NO palm trees in Canada!  The first time I visited and he drove down the street that he lives on my jaw hit the floor, I was blown away.  Now every day when we head outside to take photos it still amazes me ... palm tree lined streets are the best!

Lets talk about this romper here for a minute.  Now I don't even know if anyone still really wears rompers, or if they are even "in" anymore ... but let me tell you one thing ... this thing is like legally wear my PJ's around all day.  Next to a great maxi dress this romper is the most comfortable thing I own.  The only downside here is using the restroom .... I know, maybe a little too much information here but you gotta take the whole darn thing pretty much off ... not good when in a hurry.  Lesson learn ... don't drink too much wine and wear a romper!

Monochromatic

It's that time again .... Everybody Everywear time that is.  This month's theme is monochromatic ... and even though I really just wanted to go with a all black look and make it super easy on myself I didn't.  I pulled this little lace number out of my closet that I haven not even worn yet and paired it with some nude heels and voila .... my take on monochromatic!
