So yesterday was spent running around trying to get ready for our trip to Boise Idaho ( we are probably on the plane as you are reading this).  We are actually off to McCall ( I have never been there before, but very excited) for two of our best friends wedding!!!  I can't even tell you how crazy excited I am.  I hope to keep blogging while there but if I know myself it may or may not happen .... bare with me, I promise I will try.  I just get so caught up in hanging out with friends that we don't get to see and maybe a few to many cocktails ... and well I am sure you can figure out the rest of that story!  This is my bare bones outfit I threw on to run out and have a quick dinner with the Hubby .... and yes, I have no makeup on.  You know, sometimes there is just no time and no need .... or so Zack says when it comes to the makeup thing.

Slightly Obsessed

I have always had a thing for vests ... such a great way to layer without it being to bulky or too hot.  Now with this vest I think it is becoming a slight obsession!!  I think I have worn it in 3 out of my last 5 posts .... oppss!! It just makes every outfit that much better.  Take this dress for example, I purchased it ages ago and really only wear it around the house when it is super hot out.  Then yesterday as I was getting ready I thought about how cute this little dress would look with my cowboy boots and then of course the only next logical then was to throw on my vest.  Yup, that's right ... I am having a bit of a love affair with my denim vest!

Perfect Summer Outfit

Last night Zack was the MC for a event and I got to tag along and shoot some photos.  I was so excited when I put this outfit together in my head and then put it on and it turned out even better.  Don't you just love when that happens, usually it is the other way around!  I know this is a bit warm for summer months but since it was an evening event it felt perfect, and I think it is something about the light colors that really did it for me.  Though I was super cautious all night as to where I sat and what I touched ... I think I made it out without a single stain ..... and that alone is a miracle for this girl!!

Lighten Up

Last week got my hair did!  If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter you might have seen a little sneak peek at it ( you can follow me @jessgitz on Instagram or Twitter if you would like).  I am obsessed with the Ombre look ... clearly right?!?!  I have been rocking it for a few months now and this time I asked for a few light pieces in the front and I am loving it!

I don't actually have "the blues", it is this blue back wall that I am talking about here.  Every time that we take outfit photos here there is such a blue hue to everything it makes me crazy.  You think I would learn my lesson and stop taking there here though that is not the case .... darn you blue wall ... you always seem like such a great idea and then you never are!

Jean on Jean

I am not really sure how I feel about jean on jean but I do have a certain kind of strange love for it.  It feels a little rocker-ish in this outfit here but I am liking it. Hope you all have a wonderful week and enjoy this summer weather!!

There really is nothing better than a dress in my mind.  You just slip it on and go .... but I do find myself buying way too many and then running into the blogger dilemma of remixing them.  Oh dresses, how I love you and dislike you at the same time.  Zack and I went on a little dinner date the other night and I was so very excited to pulled this hardly worn dress out and give her a night out on the town!!

There is something about neutrals with just a little pop of color that I just love so much.  This outfit is a perfect example of that love.  I am also loving these new little flats that I ordered from Zara, not only are they super comfy and go with everything ... they have these great little gold studs on the front of them.  I think I need a better photo to show you all that cause they really are something great!

Sometimes I feel like it just doesn't really matter what you have on if you have a great backdrop.  Take this fantastic brick wall for instance .... I have probably worn some form of this outfit many many times yet it just looks and feels so much better in front of this wall.  Simple is always my favorite way to dress and nothing says simple like a pair of cut offs and a t-shirt with my my favorite hat and new shoes!  Yes please ... bring on the amazing backdrops!

Apparently I was really confused this weekend!  I thought that Friday was Saturday already, hence why you might have noticed I didn't post anything on Friday .... OPPS!  I also forgot to tell Amy Klepser that she is the new winner of the Crush Sunglasses!!  I think I am losing my mind just a little lately.  Amy Klepser ... get in touch with me as soon as you can and I will have those Crush sunnies sent out to you right away!!

Have you ever tried something on in the store and just were not quite sure about it to later be thinking about it all the time?!?!  Well my friends, that is when I say you for sure buy that something!  I had that happen to me with this amazing little studded shoulder blouse.  I just couldn't stop thinking about it and since we don't have a Zara ( yet!!) here in SD I had to order it online.  And let me tell you ... I sure am glad I did, the little detailing on the shoulder is just perfect for this flowy easy to pair blouse!

Hotel Belamar

As I said before, Zack and I spent last weekend in Manhattan Beach.  This is the second time we have went up there for the weekend due to the fact that it is only really about an hour and a half of a drive for us and such a great spot.  This time we decided to stay at The Belamar Hotel.  It is a great little boutique hotel which is about a 8 minute drive to the main part of Manhattan Beach.  The rooms where super cute and they even use Philosophy products!  The last time we stayed in Manhattan beach we stayed a little closer to all the action and that is what I prefer however this hotel was nice ... and the food at their restaurant is pretty darn spectacular too ... ranked number one on TripAdvisor!!

It's that time again ... it is Everybody Everywear time ... I so love being involved in this fun blog where everyone spots their version of whatever the theme is for that month.  This month is color blocking, and though I have given it a few goes with bright colors I decided to stay in the same color family with my pants and shirt this time.  Speaking of shirts .... this one is becoming a non favorite ... seriously, I had just ironed this like 5 minutes before the photos and it is a hot mess of wrinkles!
