I took a much longer and unexpected break from blogging and I am sorry.  I have been in Canada for the holidays visiting family and as usual things have just been crazy (yet super fun) and I decided to put blogging on hold.  I just want you all to know I have missed you and thought I would give you one last post before the year is over!  This is the view from my Mom's house in West Kelowna ... and just like I had been hoping for there was a whole lot of snow for the holidays!!  I actually wore this outfit for a little photo shoot that me and my siblings did .... here are a few of my favorite shots below.

 

Ultimate Comfort

I picked this comfy cozy sweater up from the Gap last week and it was 40% off!!  I can not tell you how comfortable and WARM this thing is!!  I have a feeling it is going to come in handy over this holiday season since the Hubby and I am heading to Canada on Wednesday for the holidays!!

Holiday Party

There are a lot of things that are great about being a small business owner.  The Hubby and I own our company so when it comes to a Christmas parties we don't really have one to go to so last night we made our own ... well kinda.  Last night we got all dressed up and went to see ZZ Ward, Allen Stone and Mat Kearney at the Balboa Theater in San Diego.  We have seen ZZ Ward and Allen Stone 3 times now ( ya, we love them!) and it just keeps getting better and better every time we see them!  Our Christmas party was a blast ... if you live in San Diego and get a chance to ever see a concert at the Balboa Theater I highly suggest it .... not a bad seat in the house (it holds about 1300) and the sound is beyond amazing!!

Jeggings

/>I have come to the conclusion that jeggings are the best thing in the world. I am not sure how I ever lived without them.  I picked these ones up from the Gap and I just can't stop wearing them.  I have a feeling they are really going to come in handy over this holiday season with all the eating and drinking to be done ... they really have that kinda comfort!  Do yourself a favor, run out and get some jeggings, you won't regret it ... I promise!!

The Unexpected

   I have owned these little boots here for a unbelievable amount of time ... something like 10 years or so!!  I bought them back in a day when wearing skinny jeans just wasn't happening!! ( wow I just made myself feel old!)  I love these boots ... they are the softest leather and a great shade of dark brown and not to mention how amazingly comfy they are!!  So yesterday the unexpected happened ... I rolled up my jeggings a little and voila, I like the way they look with the boots now.  I think I have found a way to bring these boots back into my wardrobe for good!

Minty Dot

I am pretty sure I ran to Forever 21 and bought this sweater mainly cause I saw someone on my Instagram wearing it ... and am I ever happy I did!!  I just love how the inside of the sweater has the opposite colors of the outside so when you turn up the cuffs it looks so cute!  Thanks goodness for my Instagram friends ... do you follow me on Instagram .... if you would like to you can here!

Glow

There really isn't anything better than the "golden hour" and a new bag!!  I got this bag from a friend for my birthday and can not tell you how excited I am to have it!  It will pretty much go perfectly with everything!!

Must Haves

So recently I have really been enjoying when fellow bloggers do post about their favorite products so I thought I would give one a try.  These four things below I find myself reaching for all the time and just love the way they work for me.

Smashbox Photo Finish Light - First off let me tell you that I was never ever a believer in primers or anything fancy for my face .... I never even wore any kind of foundation or cover up ... just too much work.  But this stuff here is a life saver ... you see, I have really really oily skin.  No matter the time of year it is always oily and using the Photo Finish light as the first step to my makeup routine before anything else touches my face really helps in the oil department as well as keeping my makeup in place.

 Make Up Forever HD High Definition Powder - O.K., so this stuff is new to me but I am already in love with it.  You just use a little dusty of it after you have finished applying all of your makeup and it will leave you with a matte look and help keep the oil away!!  With the combo of these two products I think I have finally found the best way to keep my oily skin under control!!

Next is my can't live without product when it comes to my nails!!  This stuff is what miracles are made of. I have tried everything out there and for me there really is nothing that works better.  I use the Seche Vite top coat and the Seche Clear base coat.  Together they will keep your nails looking amazing for quite some time!  The top coat is the best top coat I have ever used ... it dries your nails in record braking time!!  Do be warned ... it does smell a lot like glue and might scare you to be putting this on your nails but the stuff does the trick so darn well I get over it!  You can pick this stuff up at your local Ulta or Sally's.

Moroccan Oil Hydration Styling Cream - I have been using this stuff forever!  Since I am so hard on my hair I like to try and make sure to take care of it.  This stuff really helps ... smells great and leaves my smooth and much more manageable.

Ahh, and for my last must have ... Maybelline's Baby Lips!!  This stuff is just straight up addictive!  They keep my lips soft and smooth ... no bad taste to them ... they have SPF and a slight tint of color to them.  I have almost every color I think and I have love for them all! Best of all they are around three dollars at Walmart ... does it get any better than that?!?!?

I just want to day a quick thank you to everyone who comment on my last post about my hair.  It is good to know that I am not the only one who has hair drama!!  So I did go back and get it fixed and I am much happier with it now.  I guess I should just learn to speak up in the first place.

Alright ladies, lets talk about something really important here .... HAIR!!  Yes, I know there are way more important things out there but this one just gets to me.  You see I got my hair done yesterday by somebody totally new.  My old stylist left the world of doing hair ... so sad ... she was amazing!!   Yesterday I went ahead and saw another stylist at the same salon but didn't leave quite as happy.  There really is something to be said for having the same person do your hair, they know how you like it and what you want.  I really hate going back to get something "fixed" or changed ... I feel like a ass.  They always ask if I like it once it is blown out and of course the answer is yes ... but then when I get home in my "own light" and really analyze it it is not.  Ahhh ... so off I go to the salon again today to give it another try ... maybe I am just too picky ... but with the hefty price to get my hair done I feel I should just love it ... ya know??  What do you do if you are not happy with your hair ... do you just live with it or do you go back???

I had a really great time on my birthday ... not only did I get to spend it with some great friends I even got some amazing gifts!!  This awesome new shirt if from my friend Fio and the bangles are from my friend Lindsey!!  Thank you so much girls for the wonderful and thoughtful gifts!!  I also got a hot pink bowling ball and matching shoes ... but that is a whole other story!!  We love to bowl ... hahha!!

Dots and Stripes

  So I figured it was time for my love of stripes and polka dots to come together!!  They like each other! Now lets talk about the color red ... it is a color that doesn't really live in my closet.  I am not really sure why but I think I am a little afraid of it.  These shoes I just couldn't hold back on but I do realize I always have a hard time finding something to wear with them.  What would you wear with these awesome little red shoes??
