I love having a blog .... and I never in a million years ever would have thought that having a blog was going to get free things!  When I first started my blog over a year ago I really knew not a single thing about it other than I wanted to share my style with everyone and hopefully inspire others the way others have inspired me.  Little did I know that I was going to have some good luck when it come to winning all sorts of goodies!  These wedges are a perfect example ... I mean ... bright orange and the perfect height .... Love!!

Well, this title is a little miss leading ... there is not a single thing about this outfit that is vintage.  The truth is that I am trying to get the perfect vintage effect for my photos and I was playing around with this one and figured, why not give it a try.  What do you think ... do you like the look??  I am still trying to tweak it to perfection.  On another note .... have a great weekend everyone!!

Shadows

Nothing like having just the right lighting and you happen to have the wrong lens on your camera and there is always the shadow of the one photographing you.  That's ok, cause I really like the shadow of the one who takes my photos .... I am very lucky to get to have Zack (my husband) take all my photos.  This is just a little outfit that I wore out one night in McCall ... the weather was just perfect ... nice and hot during the day but at night it cooled down perfectly!

Alright, I have a new found appreciation for all you ladies who live in super warm weather towns.  These last to post photos were taken in Boise, Idaho where the weather was something crazy hot!  I promise to never complain about the weather here in San Diego ... we are spoiled come summer or winter.  That heat is very hard to dress for ... I fell for ya girls!

Back To Reality

Sorry for being totally MIA last week, but we went on vacation to McCall Idaho for our best friends wedding and as it turned out we had no internet access!  It was really for the best .... we shared a cabin with a whole bunch of Zack's friends and between all the eating and drinking and laughing there just wasn't any time for blogging anyways.  It was a vacation for me and the blog as it turned out.  We had the most amazing time ever!  McCall was just stunning and to get to spend that time with such great friends and to make new ones is something that can never ever be replaced.  And the icing on the cake ... Cory and Ashley's wedding .... one of the most beautiful weddings I have ever been too ..... not to mention the silly crazy amount of fun we had!  Now it is back to reality ... the hard part, when you return home to life and work ... well, till the next wedding anyways!

Bare

So yesterday was spent running around trying to get ready for our trip to Boise Idaho ( we are probably on the plane as you are reading this).  We are actually off to McCall ( I have never been there before, but very excited) for two of our best friends wedding!!!  I can't even tell you how crazy excited I am.  I hope to keep blogging while there but if I know myself it may or may not happen .... bare with me, I promise I will try.  I just get so caught up in hanging out with friends that we don't get to see and maybe a few to many cocktails ... and well I am sure you can figure out the rest of that story!  This is my bare bones outfit I threw on to run out and have a quick dinner with the Hubby .... and yes, I have no makeup on.  You know, sometimes there is just no time and no need .... or so Zack says when it comes to the makeup thing.

Slightly Obsessed

I have always had a thing for vests ... such a great way to layer without it being to bulky or too hot.  Now with this vest I think it is becoming a slight obsession!!  I think I have worn it in 3 out of my last 5 posts .... oppss!! It just makes every outfit that much better.  Take this dress for example, I purchased it ages ago and really only wear it around the house when it is super hot out.  Then yesterday as I was getting ready I thought about how cute this little dress would look with my cowboy boots and then of course the only next logical then was to throw on my vest.  Yup, that's right ... I am having a bit of a love affair with my denim vest!
